Billie was created by TaLona Holbert, an award-winning Big Law litigator. TaLona spent a decade working with financial institutions and scrutinizing legal records, including background checks. She also represented pro bono clients in landlord/tenant and discrimination matters.
Through her work, TaLona saw how often people were blindsided by legal information that appeared in background checks. She also noted the devastating impact adverse legal records could have on a person’s life and well-being.
